William is a shareholder and the former designated broker for Ocean's Edge Realty. Bill is a Harvard Law School graduate and a practicing attorney with a general law practice in Ellsworth. He and his wife, Ninette, have lived on Mt. Desert Island since 1977, when he graduated from Harvard Law School and they moved to Maine from their hometown of South Hadley, Massachusetts. They live in Pretty Marsh on a farm where they grow most of their own food and where they have raised their five sons. Bill and Ninette are very active in their community and enjoy volunteering their time together. Bill is a past president of the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor and the Somes-Meynell Wildlife Sanctuary in Mount Desert as well as serving on a number of local boards. He is also active in town government for the Town of Mount Desert, serving as chair of the Warrant Committee, as a member of the Board of Appeals, and in recent years, as moderator of town meetings. He was active for many years as a coach and referee for youth sports and remains a frequent volunteer in the schools. |
