Ocean’s Edge Realty is owned by Mark Eastman who grew up in Bucksport and has life-long connections to the area. He’s excited about the future of Bucksport and encourages you to learn more about some of the economic development projects currently underway in the community. Several links are below and Mark is always happy to chat about the future of Bucksport.

Mark was elected to the Bucksport Town Council in 2017 and is committed to the importance of local government and civic work.   He currently serves as the Chair of  the Economic  Development Committee.

Mark is one of the Founders of Main Street Bucksport and his  interests include Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust, Main Street Bucksport, The Alamo Theatre, and WERU Community Radio.  Additionally, he was awarded Chamber Business Man of the Year in 2016 by the Bucksport Chamber of  Commerce.

Mark lives in the village of Bucksport with his wife, who also works in the community, and their  daughter, a 6th generation Mainer.

Kim Laplant – Agent                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Kim has lived in Bucksport since 2002 and is very interested in helping Bucksport build a vibrant Main Street.  A former History Teacher in the area, she believes in Bucksport’s strong history and is excited to see that history play a role in the future of the town.  Kim currently serves on the Board for the Cancer Support Center of Maine and also has a home-based business collecting and selling Vintage Clothing.

Kim lives in Bucksport with her husband, a Science Teacher at Deer-Isle Stonington High School, and her 2 boys, who are students at the Miles Lane Elementary School and the Bucksport Middle School.

Emily Wascholl – Agent                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Emily was born in Brooksville, ME and moved to Bucksport as a child. Emily is a Bucksport High School graduate class of 2011. She is enjoying raising her 5-year-old son with her husband in the Bucksport community and is excited about the future of the community. Emily was previously working as an Administrative Assistant at a real estate office. Emily is excited to use her experience and knowledge to help buyers and sellers with any of their residential, land, commercial, and waterfront needs.
